How do I find my niche in on the internet?

As we get older we lose sight of what it was like to be a child. The world was our oyster. Maybe you wanted to be a fireman, or president, or just like your dad. Can you remember what you wanted to be when you grew up?

Things happen in life, career, marriage, children, you know the routine. Maybe you are working at a job that pays the bills, but doesn't make you happy. Maybe you found the love of your life and got married, and then found the need to take care of that person. You probably found a job which provides security for your spouse and children, but not one that takes care of you personally. It happens to everyone. Only the lucky few are doing what they truly love.

If you dream of owning your own business, being your own boss, but don't know where you fit in to the world of business and the internet, it's time to find your niche (the special place where you belong). It has to be something you love. A hobby (mine is homebrewing beer), a diversion, a strong interest, these are good possibilities for your niche. Even though I'm not a web designer, even though I can't write html code, even though I had not written anything since college (a very long time ago), I'm finding it easier and easier every time I sit down to the computer. You should have seen some of the stuff I wrote when I first started. But, like all things in life, it just takes a little practice and focus.

I work in the oilfield. Right now, with the economy so slow, I've had plenty of time to think about and write this site. It was daunting at first, trying to get 30 pages written. But now, I have well over 140 pages on my Winning Homebrew website. You just keep working (nothing is free in life) and before you know it, you have enough pages written to start making some money.
